Tree Planting, Gurdwara Temple, Slough, 23rd November

Graham Barker planted the first tree near the Gurdwara temple in Slough of 550 trees that will be planted to mark the 550th birthday next year of Guru Nanak Dev Ji(1469-1539) the founder of Sikhism.

Graham Barker gave a speech in which he endorsed the Sikh respect for the environment, the extension of Her Majesty the Queen’s Canopy project and the tradition of planting trees in Slough going back to the trees planted to mark Slough’s Royal Charter 80 years ago.
